I tried ./ids_install -javahome none but still get same massage
Either install the JRE or you could try ids_install -legacy which should extract the java install file to a tarball which you could install manually using the old install shell script. Don't know if that extract will work without a JRE installed, but give a try. Art Art S. You might want to use the Oracle JRE - sometimes the opensource version doesn't work Anyone else see the irony there :) Cheers Paul > -----Original Message----- > From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Art > Kagel > Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2013 5:36 AM > To: ids@iiug.org > Subject: Re: Informix install - could not find libjava.so [32142] > > Either install the JRE or you could try ids_install -legacy which should > extract the java install file to a tarball which you could install manually > using the old install shell script.
