RE: Date modification & Informix Online
Posted in 1999
We have considered doing this at our site on our Sun E3000 running IDS 7.31, solaris 2.6 (test environment). Our system administrator has expressed concerns of pushing the clock ahead and back again. Has anyone else tried this at their site, having a similar configuration to ours, that can share their experience? Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: Neil Truby [mailto:ntruby@netcomuk.co.uk] Sent: Tuesday, June 01, 1999 9:05 AM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: Date modification & Informix Online We've done this on test servers multiple times without any detrimental effect on UNIX or Informix. We did stop the UNIX servers, change the date then re-start the boxes. Maybe you're not going to be so rigorous. But it worked for us.
