8mm tape archives/logging

We are currently talking to SUN about getting some new 8mm tape drives for our SUN 690MP and Sparc 2000. SUN is quoting us a 14GB 8mm tape drive. Has anyone out there worked with these new drives. I have used the 2.0 GB tape drives and they work just fine. What is the maximum tape size supported by informix (with respect to 8mm tape). Yes, I am sure that they will will take quite a while to write to (rewind, etc).
