What's possible in IDS 10 is... using ontape (not onbar), you could suspend
log restore manually (by doing ctrl+c and select suspend option), and
resume log restore when next set of logs are available. Once all logs are
restored, system will be in quiescent mode.
In IDS 11, both ontape and onbar has command line option -C to perform
continuous log restore, and -X to finish continuous log restore and bring
system to quiescent mode.

Hi,
You can do continuous log restore using onbar under Version 10 with a
little hack (but I am not sure this is really what you want).
Check the ixbar.<SERVERNUM> file, and place a "duff entry" for the next
logical log in the ixbar file.
When you run onbar -r -p - this will complete the physical restore (use
the -p to prevent log salvage from the target restore instance).
Then (ensure you have a duff entry in the ixbar for the next log) run
onbar -r -l. Logical restore will then suspend when it hits the duffentry. When the next log is available from the source instance, enter
it's details in the ixbar.<SERVERNUM> file for the target instance,
place a duff entry for the next logical log, and issue onbar -r -l.
Keep doing this until you want to finish continuous log restore.
BUT ... what are you actually trying to do?
Have you reviewed HDR? Basically a primary instance and a secondary
instance which is getting the logs from the primary instance and rolling
them forward - and the secondary is available for read-only activities.
