Theoretically you could put your hidden columns into 1 character fields on the form, with an attribute of INVISIBLE. Only problem is that you'll be able to see your INVISIBLE columns if you re-enter the INPUT ARRAY WITHOUT DEFAULTS. > Secondly, in an AFTER ROW clause, is there a way to keep the user on > the row they are trying to leave? You'd think so, wouldn't you? I don't even know what the purpose of an AFTER ROW clause might be if it isn't to validate the row! Friday night. I've had a tough week. Informix has just postponed my NewEra course into the middle of my holiday, and I can't believe that Informix don't think that the (many) irritations like those above are important enough to fix. BTW: If you're going to put the parallel array items in a seperate array either disallow INSERT and DELETE (OPTIONS INSERT KEY F36 etc) or make sure you do your deletions in the AFTER DELETE and insertions in the AFTER INSERT. - Kerry S --------------------------------------,------------------------------------- Kerry Sainsbury, kerry@kcbbs.gen.nz | THE INFORMIX FAQ Quanta Systems, Auckland, New Zealand | kcbbs.gen.nz:/informix/* | mathcs.emory.edu:/pub/informix/faq/* +64 9 377-4473 (work) 266-6011 (home) | http://www.garpac.com/informix.html
