IIUG Board of Directors : Nomination

Bonjour, I am candidate for the elections to the "*IIUG Board of Directors*". I would like to bring my help to the development of the worlwide group of Informix users. We call ourselves fans. The *IIUG* counts over 25000 members today from all over the globe and still growing . As an IBM Information Champion, President of the UGIF (User Group Informix France) and having 24 years of experience on the *Informix* products since the launch of *Informix* Turbo in 1987 (the ancestor of the actual IDS engine), my contribution will be beneficial to the development of the IIUG both from the strategic and communication levels. Having both the strategic and the technologic vision around the positionning of the Informix product, your vote will allow me to bring my bric to this worldwide organisation that plays an important role in the life of Informix. The *IIUG* needs new members in order to have an international vision. In today's world that moves at great speed in terms of needs in different activity sectors, the success of a great product such as Informix, that continues to evolve year after year, goes through a great image, a long term roadmap and commitment from IBM and openess to other technologies and in particuler to open source. I would like to help this strategic group in order to represent the users from all of the world and influence IBM's decisions in terms of positionning and features to satisfy the demands and wishes of the users.
