TPS transactions per second

TPS (transactions per second) question: --------------------------------------- If I have an Informix online database, how do I then see or calculate the number of transactions per second ? Is there different definitions on TPS ? Could TPS be defined as the sum of: Calls to the write function, calls to the rewrite function and calls to the delete function ? These given by tbstat -p. This information will be divided by the time elapsed from the last tbstat -z. Do you have any comments ?
