The USERTHREADS value means the total number of USERTHREADS available in the engine. This doesn't match to your licensed number of users because in PDQ you might have 10 threads spawned for one user for a large query. So long as the number of unique users doesn't exceed the number you are licensed for you will be fine. Don't change the onconfig.std file though because the engine only looks at that if there is no other onconfig file in the $INFORMIXDIR/etc directory. In future versions of DSA, 7.10.UD2 and above, the USERTHREADS parameter is no longer part of the configuration file. If you need more users the database engine will automatically increase the number of USERTHREADS available. You will get a message in the online.log file notifying you of the increase. Mike
