UPDATE STATISTICS as a minimum, and preferably several UPDATE STATISTICSHIGH for lead columns of indexes and medium for other indexed columns. See the Performance guide, multiple other threads on performance and various helpful scripts on the IIUG site. If you still have a problem then post a few details such as your onconfig file and onstat -p and 'the royal' we can move on from there.
