Remember that wiht 4GL version 6 you must not only close a cursor
but also
a) FREE the cursor
b) FREE the statement id associated with the cursor :-
PREPARE P1 from "select * from systables"
^

statement id is P1
c) If you do
PREPARE P1 FROM "insert into mytab(1)"
EXECUTE P1
also do
FREE P1
