sqlcode -458 error

Hi,
Our application recently encountered hang outs and slowdown because of the
sqlcode 458 error and the devs are pinpointing the query below that was
causing the error.
select count(*) from table where
column1 ='result1'
and column2='result2'
and column3='result3';
The query returns result in a flash so I think this is not the reason behind
the error. Also we are monitoring the logical logs daily and it has not been
consuming logical logs more than 80% and LTHWM is also set to 50. Just want to
know your take on this.
Thanks in advance and more power to the group!!!
What makes anyone think this query was causing (incurring?) this error,
i.e. a long transaction rollback?

Hi, Because they have a log (ulog) and as per their checking that is the command before the error occured. I also ask if there were any heavy update transactions that occurred that might cause the error but there are none written in their log. We just need to trace the cause because this error occurred randomly affecting business processes.
A long transaction will be shown in the online.log. But the query itself
will not be shown. But at the time, while we're doing the rollback you
should be able to identify the session and therefore the query.
Keep in mind that you can get a -458, by simply opening a transaction,
doing a single insert and just wait... The LTHWM doesn't mean "space
consumed by the transaction", but instead ""logical logs consumed while thr
transaction is opened". This means a long transaction can be triggered
without being large, in which case it will be completely rollbacked very
quickly and it won't cause any "blocking".
