DO NOT MESS WITH SYSMASTER. It is not a read database the 'tables' are pointers into shared memory data structures! Online 7.xx depends on this database! BTW it takes almost no disk space, and the tables do not really 'grow' so they cannot become fragmented or interleaved so extents should not be a problem. LEAVE IT BE! Art S. Kagel kagel@bloomberg.com
