Informix-CLI licensing

Hello, since I got conflicting answers from several people at our vendor, I'm asking this group: Until now, we had to buy licenses for Informix-CLI for each PC for which we needed ODBC access to our 5.x Online server. Now we received our upgrade to ODS 7.23, and on the CD there is also Informix-CLI for all Windows platforms. Can we install the CLI on as may PCs as we like, as long as there are no more concurrent database connections than the server license allows (meaning that CLI is now "free"), or do we have to buy separate licenses as we did before?
