Unexpected NULL Pointer

Dear Informixers, a simple PERFORM screen (generated by the GENERATE option in the FORMS section of ISQL) gives me an error on all SELECT operations: After hitting RETURN, I get "System Error: Unexpected NULL Pointer". After that, the correct number of rows found is displayed, but every time I try NEXT, I get the same error, followed by a message saying "Someone else deleted a row in the current list" (Sorry, this is translated from German, so the original English message is probably different). I am sure nobody else is working on the same data! The table in question is a synonym which points to a view on a database which resides on another host. Network access is ok, since I can view the data without problems with interactive SQL.
