I sure didn't mean to imply that I wanted to use ActiveX for the purpose of creating Internet enabled applications. First and formost that's dangerous to the helth of my customers, and therby to me (very much so). Secondly I don't think NewEra will or should support that. The problem is that many controls will only be available in the form of ActiveX controls, not the now old type OLE controls (OCX's). I think Informix is aware of this problem and will fix it soon. (It looks like that from their web info on NE 3.0.) Every ActiveX control can also be used as a regular control, but has an extended interface as compared to the OLE controls. :> PS.: Do anybody know if the built in report function has been upgraded :> to support better printing? That is font control and positioned :> printing. : :I'm not sure what you mean here. If you use ViewPoint Pro, you can print :some decent looking reports. In 15 minutes I created a Master-Detail :report with a graphic logo, text-in-a-box, and used Times Roman and :Arial [though I could have picked any] fonts in regular and bold, :center, left and right justified. What additional control do you :require? Also, the report ran fast. No, I meant the report function used with start report/output to report/finish report like the one available in 4GL. The significant advantage of this report tool is that I can put code inside the report. That often makes for a much better solution. However if I can't print pretty I am in the same loss/loss situation as with the previous lack of proper GUI tools.
