PRAVEEN If U want to create Log for non logged database U may need to Use ONArchive or ontape utilities . Moreover U need to go for Level 0 backup . These is no SQL to change from nonLogged database to logged database. \\ To run these Utilities U must be a Informix or Root. TO do with ontape follow this procedure $ ontape -s -B dB to change your dB to buffer logging and $ ontape -s -U dB to change your dB to unbufferd logging $ ontape -s -A dB to make your database ANSI compliant. Be careful youcan not easily change status of logging for ANSI compliant databases. U may need to unload and load the data using HPL or etc.. The database i am using dosen't have logs. So in my esql/c programs if i user BEGIN WORK it gives me an error.
