There are two seperate releases of CSDK on HP, one for the HP PA-RISC and the other for the Itanium architecture. Please ensure that you are installing the right product on the right OS. Since the error is coming at the install time, I believe you will need to have the CSDK that was released for HP PA-RISC. There are two sets of documents that come with CSDK as a product - One is the release notes under $INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333/CLIENTREL.TXT or CLIENTREL.HTML. This gives you information about the compatibility of this product with various IBM Informix servers and several other features. For different APIs (ESQL/C, DMI, C++, ODBC) shipped with CSDK, there are different release notes, under the same location (*.TXT or *.HTML) that will provide more information about each API. The other important document that you should probably read is the machine notes under $INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333/ESQLC_9.5 . This gives the details regarding the OS this product was built on , and tested, and against which OS it is certified and compatible with. If you are having problems with the binaries that you have compiled using the product and are trying to move them from one OS to the other, then please see the reply posted by Jonathan Leffler. I believe this is more to do with the installation of the product itself, and that leads me to believe that you are infact trying to install the wrong product on a particular OS Hope this helps.
