Language problem

Hi Everyone, currently I am working on a project where we have an informix online server 7.30 running on a Windows NT and where an informix online server 7.30 runs on a unix as client. We did the installation using the language us_en (english), but since the customer is in Belgium we need to be able to insert text in our database containing characters such as ', ', ... When I do an insert in a table with a text value containing one of these characters, I get an error and the insert fails. Could somebody tell me how one can adds the language for Belgium or any other language to the installation, on NT and on Unix! Thanks, Koen Van Oost

What charset do you use (Windows NT, Informix)? What are the environment settings (DB_LOCALE, CLIENT_LOCALE, DBNLS)? What errors do occur? Send an example of your insert statement, please. Yours, Volker
Hello,
In Luxembourg, we use fr_ch for a mix of french
and german. For Belgium, you could try fr_be ?
Example : our Unix environment variables :
CLIENT_LOCALE=fr_ch.8859-1
DB_LOCALE=fr_ch.8859-1 SERVER_LOCALE=fr_ch.8859-1
