Need help with errors...

Dear ONLINE Wizards, I am running Online 5.01.ud3 on an IBM RS/6000. All of the sudden I am getting error -229 "Could not open or create a temporary file." and error -113 "ISAM error:the file is locked". This problem occurs within a simple inquiry program when a check printing program is running at the same time. These 2 error messages seem to contradict one another, the way that I interpret them. -229 seems to indicate a permission or disk full problem. We checked this out, no problem. Error -113 says that a file (table) is locked in exclusive mode. Well, which is it a file or a table? We have gone through all the preliminary steps..... 1. There has not been any code changes in the affected programs. 2. Permissions are wide open in the DBTEMP directory. 3. There is TONS of disk space both in the temp directories and the database space (including the rootdbs). We are using raw disk space to house the database. How should I interpret these errors? Is my problem at the unix or Online level? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
