My Database Server Configuration: Informix 7.2.2 50-100GB Database HPUX10.20 12-way cpu, 3GB RAM and 240GB (RAID5) disks (I will have two servers.) My objectives: To implement Bidirectional Data Replication accross 20-50KM Data Centers. To distribute system load between two DB servers. To ensure high availability of DB servers. [DR Setup] My Existing Transaction Indicators: Checkpoint Interval occurs every 10 minutes with 10sec duration Logical logs are 12000 KB per log with 100 logs a day. My Challenges: How much bandwidth should I need accross the Data Centers? What are the DOs and DONTs for Data Replication? I would very much appreciate your feedback, your suggestion and/or your experience in the above scenario. I plan to implement a "pilot configuration" in the next couple of months. Thanks in advance.
