Migrate from dbaccess to isql?

Hello All,
I use `dbaccess DBNAME` in scripts quite often to access Online 5.07. This was when the engine was on the local machine.
Now I have upgraded to IDS 7.3 on a sun box, and have the apps running on sco boxes. I have 4gl-rds, connect, and isql running on the sco boxes.
I believe the utility that provides the functionality of dbaccess is isql. I looked in the isql reference for command line options, like `isql -s DBNAME -q options` but could not figure out how to do something simple like:
with dbaccess
# echo "SIMPLE SQL QUERY" | dbaccess DBNAMEwith isql????
# echo "SIMPLE SQL QUERY" | isql -s DBNAME -qn????????
Can someone let me know how this should be done?
Thanks in advance.
Olaf
