Anyone else out there running : 7.0 or above ever get those '408' errors? Well, we were bitten by the "408 bug" about 18 months ago, running 5.03. We tried everything, and tech support tried everything we didn't. No luck. Finally, we upgraded to version 7.1. Since that time, I have never seen a 408 error. We did the upgrade partly out of sheer frustration, and partly because we heard good reports about version 7. At that time, Informix wasn't saying that version 7 would fix our problems, it just seemd logical that the newer product with the different design approach would be more likely to have it fixed than something old. However, we didn't really know what NEW problems we would have. I can truthfully say that our upgrade to version 7 has been the best thing we have done. I'd believe Informix on this one. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Bos E-mail: bos@dordt.edu Director of Computing Services Dordt College Phone: (712) 722-6249 Sioux Center, IA 51250 Fax: (712) 722-1198
