Hi, You can reload without rekeying in the data. You did not mention the differences in the database schema (if any) in the Pick vs. the Informix environment but this is directly proportional to the amount of work that will be involved. Do the variable length fields have a may size? If so and the length of the string (I assume you're talking about a string) is less than 255 chars you can use a varchar.
