This is with }DBDATE='DMY4'. } }John, you asked about a DBDATE of 'Y4MD-'. Would a different DBDATE format }have a different effect on the test? No; the only significance is that I specified the format for the DATE literal I quoted (ISO 8601 standard, actually). You're British like me, so you think in terms of "DMY4/"; I'm in America where they contort things to "MDY4/"; by using ISO 8601 "Y4MD-" format, I either offend nobody or everybody, without being ambiguous either. }Steve Fabac's post of 8/7/97 said that he had a problem when he changed the }m/c date to 29/2/2000 and tried to insert ... values (TODAY). We were }intending to do this test as well, but the decision came through to upgrade }anyway, so we decided that it was a moot point for us. BTW , has anyone done }this test on a later version of Informix? } }Lesley It sounds as if the problem may the machine itself... Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <witticism.h>
