I don't understand: if Informix products are so much better than competition why doesn't the company make money? Informix database engine scales well; great, but where are the earnings? I have an impression that some Silicon Valley software companies can't organize work right; in particular, the work environment is oriented towards mediocrasies (with very high self-esteem of course). Affirmative action helps a lot. And take those large teams where losers are the bottleneck. Plus great California climate. The result is clear: Silicon Valley companies lose. Hype helps for a while (or even bribed politicians like in case of Sun and Oracle great battle against Mic...Prime Evil) but end result is the same. When will I get even in my adventure of buying Informix stock? Boris
