(This is Jack using Jim's account) What specifically is going wrong with dbdiff2 on 7.x? We are using it here on 7.23, the constraints section is dropping core so we turned that off - otherwise it works well. There is indeed a beta version of dbdiff2 that has been updated for 7.x. You are welcome to a copy provided you are willing to tell me what's wrong with it. It supports all of the system tables now, but I am still trying to track down the issue with constraints - that code is unchanged. Distribution is a touch funky with it since I don't have a real os - just this (**&&8 stuff - no shar command so I've taken to wrapping it under WinDoze using zip. as always cheers j. p.s. just write to jim he doesn't mind at all. In fact this is a note to all of you robo-spammers out there, this is the address to send junk mail to - especially the hot russian women notes - Jim eats that stuff up. Ok - more seriously you can reach me at jparker @ informix com or something like that. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: dbdiff2 Author: Thuc Nguyen <thucn@email.utcourts.gov> at Internet Date: 10/6/97 3:48 PM Hi I got dbdiff2 script written by Jack Parker from the IIUG site. It worked well with Online 5.X It does not seem to work with 7.XX Is there a comparable dbdiff2 for 7.XX on the IIUG site or other sites? I need that 7.xx script. Thanks Thuc
