Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hi,
I have a strange esql/c problem on windows NT 4.0.
we have ODS 7.22 TE1 , esql/c 7.20.TE1 and VC++ 5.0
I installed both the products as administrator on my local machine.
when I try to compile one of the esql demo programs at the command line:
C:\\Informix\\demo\\cwindemo>esql -o decadd decadd.ec
I get the following error messages:
decadd.c
decadd.ec(20) : error C2065: 'dec_t' : undeclared identifier
decadd.ec(20) : error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before
identifier 'num1'
decadd.ec(20) : error C2065: 'num1' : undeclared identifier
decadd.ec(20) : error C2065: 'num2' : undeclared identifier
decadd.ec(20) : error C2065: 'sum' : undeclared identifier
INFORMIX-ESQL Version 7.20.TE1
esql: error -55904: Error in spawned program.
Any ideas why the VC++ compiler is unable to not identify the esql
include files.
Note: dec_t is a variable defined in esql header decimal.h
Also a very strange thing happens.
If I compile this program using their frontend tool cwindemo, the
program works fine.
Thanks in advance.
I really appreciate some feedback.
Anitha.
