Some very important things to check for, make sure the services file on your machine and the host match. NT puts the services and hosts file in a strange place. Also make sure the hosts file is correct. The naming of hosts or aliases is very important for the next step. Check the sqlhosts file in the informix /etc directory. The one on the NT machine should match the hostname and service name in the sqlhosts file on the host machine. And finally, make sure that on the environment tab on the NT machine that you have the informix directory in the path. When you run setnet, verify the INFORMIXSERVER variable is correct and that the host and service name is correct. Those have always been the main problems for us when connections don't work.
