I haven't tried your combination of OS and IDS and so I can't say why you may be having problems. I can however say that IDS 9.40.UC2 installs fine on SuSE Linux 9.0 and runs without fuss, at least after having installed the online updates from SuSE. This was a clean installation. Perhaps you could try this? If anyone's interested I have had problems the other way. There are issues with SuSE Linux 8.2 and 9.30.UC3. 9.30.UC5 works OK though. Ben.
