update statistics crashes database server

Has anyone come across this one?: I ran an UPDATE STATISTICS medium against my database and the following appeared in the log: Assert Failed: Internal Error - Arithmetic exception Who:Session(413, informix@ubns04, 17720, 215707656) Thread(62, sqlexec, cd97280, 1)Results: OnLine must abort Action: reininitalise shared memory See Also: /tmp/af.3e6e50, shmem.blah blah blah rsinit,c line 9196, thread 62 proc id 17099 Arith... PANIC: Attempting to bring system down This happens whenever I run UPDATE STATISTICS medium on my database. Also happens on another instance with a recent copy of this database. UPDATE STATISTICS on its own is fine. oncheck shows no consistencyerrors. I'm on OnLine 7.13 on solaris 2.4 Thanks Neil Truby Chase Bank, Bournemouth, UK
