I'm sort of an independent consultant now - making the world safe for data and that sort of thing. Having a real fun time making Magic 'code' look silly. I guess I should say 'processes' they don't really have something you would call code. The whole point of Magic is that it's quick to develop in, but when it comes to run in production a 10 minute job takes 4 days. Makes process improvement startling when you go back to code - even when it's in Orrible. Keeping my hand in with the real database and looking at db2 in my spare time. cheers j. sending to informix-list

All the debugged and well-featured business logic has been kept intact for the last five years, and now we can give it a bit more life. Perhaps several more years of life without it becoming "legacy" if we are lucky. > Keeping my hand in with the real database and looking at db2 in > my spare time. Keep the faith, brother.
