Online 5.0 to Dynamic Server 7.3
Posted in 1999
Folks, After a long absence from the Informix world I have just inheritted a situation. Upgrading from Online 5.0 Database, 4GL 4.10 and SQL 4.10 from ATT/NCR Unix Release 4.0 Version 3.1 to Dynamic Server 7.3 UC2-1 4GL 7.20.UD1 SQL 4.20.UC3 on SCO 3.2.5.0.5 Unix I'm guessing (not assuming) that my only headaches will be installing Dynamic Server. The 4GL's and SQL's should all be backward compatible? Any pitfalls on moving from Online to Dynamic Server ? I don't have any stored procedures or triggers used. Anything I should look for in the archives on this type of upgrade? These versions I'm told are fine for Y2K. Sorry to cover so much..... Thanks in advance.
