Multiple Tables in One Form

I'm trying to make a form for data entry into 3 related tables. I know I can do this using master-detail relationships but I would like to make the data entry (and form creation easier). I'm currently running Informix 4.0 and moving to version 7.1 soon. Here's the setup. Three tables: List_Table List_Member_Table People_Table List_Table and List_Member_Table are linked by List_number. List_Member_Table and People_Table are linked by People_ID. When a list is created in List_Table, new people records are created in the People_Table and corresponding records in the List_Member_Table. This is automated and done in a blind fashion based on list size because the people's identities are not known at the time of list creation. All records get created now and filled in after the fact as the information becomes known. People will eventually be in more that one list. I would like to access a record in List_Table and hit 'D' for detail to access all People_Table records for that list. However, there is no direct Master-Detail relationship without going through the List_Member_Table. Since a VIEW on two tables can't be updated I was thinking about using a dummy table for data entry. The dummy table will be a combination of List_Member_Table and People_Table and filled in every time a list is accessed for data entry. Then the updated information will be copied back into the People_Table. Any other ideas about how this can easily be done using forms? I could use curses in SCO UNIX but it may now be worth the time? Will this be more manageable in Informix 7.1? Sorry for the long winded description. Thanks in advance! Andy
