RE: lost tblspace help

Restore from archive after correcting the problem that caused the chunk to go down.
OR initialise the instance and start again.

Subject: lost tblspace help
our 5.x informix systables got hosed somehow. using
dbaccess, informix sees the database, but we can't connect
to or drop the database because of a tblspace does
not exist error. the primary chunk is also down (not mirrored).
tbcheck won't work because the tblspace doesn't exist.
using tbmonitor, we can see how much of the dbspace
is being used, but that's about it.
how can i recover from this? any solutions are appreciated.
we can't drop the dbspace because it's not empty and we
can't empty it because we can't get to the database.
Thanks in advance
