I would NOT do this: FUNCTION a() ... OPEN WINDOW a ... CALL new_window() ... END FUNCTION FUNCTON new_window() ... CURRENT WINDOW IS new ... CURRENT WINDOW IS a END FUNCTION But instead would do something like: FUNCTION a() ... OPEN WINDOW a ... ... CALL new_window() CURRENT WINDOW IS a ... END FUNCTION FUNCTON new_window() ...
