At any one stage, we can have as many : as 118 sqlturbos existing of which 60 - 70 are "hanging". This problem has nothing to do with the Online configuration. It has to do with the way that the user is exiting. Most likely the user is leaving the app 'ungracefully' in some manner. This leaves the process hanging waiting for the user to continue. The two hour time comes from a UNIX parameter - keep_alive - that defaults to two hours. By changing this parameter to something less, like 1 minute, it will at least get rid of the orphans quicker. Then check out the app and user to see why the user exits ungracefully. : Various Online engine configurations have been tried but with no success. : Any suggestions or possible solutions ??? : Michael Engelbrecht
