Using XA with Informix 7.1 ??

Are you using Informix 7.1 with a TP monitor, via XA ?? If so, I'd like to hear from you. We have developed an OLTP application, using Tuxedo and Informix 7.1. Current design includes the use of XA, to allow Tuxedo to manage transactions. However, in some of our testing, we are seeing upto a 200% performance degradation, over not using XA, and performing implicit transactions.
