I-STAR vs I-NET question

Hi, I have a question: We encountered big speed degradation when we switched from On Line to STAR. We are using Informix version 5.01 on SCO Unix and when we use our application on non-local host (database dat@host) we see that queries runs SLOW, especially small, fast selects. It's about 6 times slower. Here's my question: Does Informix NET runs faster? Does Informix Relay runs faster? What's a cause of such slowdown ? Sincerely yours, Michal Hobot doctorq@sam.nask.com.pl
