Need gif file from 35mm slide to put on ONLINE. HELP!

Does anybody know of any company that can scan from a 35mm slide and create a gif file? This is for an interesting project using Wingz as the front end and ONLINE as the backend. The project is for the 5th Centennial of the discovery of America. This is in the Dominican Republic and they want to have pictures of historical places in an ONLINE database and show it up with WINGZ. They'll have some kind of touch screen and visitors would be able to touch the buttons on the screen to retrieve the different picture and text BLOBS. Now, they have the slides and they need somebody to scan them and create the GIF files. Any pointers? I tried to find somebody here in Atlanta but all the companies I talked to only have text scanning services.
