Re: Java and Informix-Universal Server

While I have not quite done what you are saying, I do have some related comments. We are using the JDBC driver from Weblogic http://www.weblogic.com under Solaris. While I think it is still in beta, we are using it for a major datawarehouse project with great luck. We have used it against Informix 7.2 and 8.1 for a Fortune 100 customer. Weblogic has been fantastic, when the new JDBC 1.1 release came out and all our stuff broke we had a fix from them the next day. It was/is great to work with these guys. Performace has been just great (all things considered). We are also using the T3 server they have for our WinNT clients. With Java (and IFC) and JDBC we have been able to prototype and implement like never before, this is great stuff. Good luck, Dirk Fromhein df@watershed.com Watershed Technologies, Inc.
