Re: Single CPU Performance Problems?

Addition to all the good people's comments, you should look into Sun Box
more closely..
What I have noticed in your onconfig file; most of them you still kept it
as default...
Is this parameter same on both NT and Sun box..?
- If it is so you should tune Kernel of Sun box..
- Measure the performace on both NT, and Sun
- If still Sun is slow than you should tune onconfig
(sperate rootdbs, phy log, logical log, create more log file.. etc,)
ON BOTH NT and SUN. as other people suggested..
Good doc is available at $INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333/IDS_7.3
Sorry, I don't work in Sun environment but IDS_7.3 doc should give you good
starting point..
Also, I would been more helpful if you put onstat -a
I am very much interested in your case so, please keep me informed..
