PLEASE HELP. How to bring Informix online
I am working from home today, and all the manuals are at the office.
Can anyone please help me with the following problem:
In tbmonitor I did an immediate shutdown and then took Informix
offline with the "take offline" menu option. When I now try to bring
Informix on-line again, using the Startup menu option, the following
happens:
I first get the message:
> Initializing, please wait.
Then:
> Press return to continue.
After pressing return:
> Recovering, please wait.
Finally it says:
> Shared memory not initialized.
The log file holds the following information:
15:03:37 Shutdown Mode
15:03:38 Quiescent Mode
15:06:10 INFORMIX-OnLine Stopped.
15:06:10 The Master Daemon Died
15:06:10 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down
Sat Jul 6 15:07:13 1996
15:07:13 DR: DRAUTO is 0 (Off)
15:07:14 Can't open /dev/async. KAIO disabled
15:07:14 kaio.c, line 1304, thread 12, proc id 13868, kaiothread()
ERROR.
15:07:14 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down
What do I need to do to bring Informix up again? Any quick help would
be much appreciated. I'm sure monday, back at the office, I can find
everything in the manuals. However, I need to get some work done this
weekend.
I am working on an HP9000/D200 with HP/UX 10. Informix version 7.
