Table creation date

I'm working on INFORMIX 4GL v4.11 under AIX 3.0 I need to find out the creation date of a table. So I do: UPDATE STATISTICS SELECT tabname, created FROM systables WHERE ... But UPDATE STATISTICS becomes slower as tables grow. I know that this statement launches a SELECT COUNT(*) for each table. Q: How can I get the creation date without using UPDATE STATISTICS and be sure that the value is correct? TIA. Please answer at this address because I'm not subscribed at the moment.
