ER Question
Posted in 2011
Laurie had Enterprise Replication between IDS 10.00.FC8 (HP-UX) and IDS 11.50.FC8 (Linux): send queues on the IDS 10 source kept growing and no rows arrived on the new 11.50 targets, though replication between two IDS 10 servers still worked. Suggestions: run all cdr commands from the newest server's cdr utility (already done), check edition/licence limits, note the domain limit is 32K servers, and check the receive queues. Receive queues were empty, cdr disconnect worked but cdr connect failed, with the two servers disagreeing on connection state; Madison suggested cross-checking the sqlhosts files. No confirmed resolution is recorded in the thread.

Im trying to run ER between IDS 10.0 FC8 (HP-UX) servers and IDS 11.50 FC8 (Linux) servers. I have several servers in the domain and should have data moving from one main server (IDS10) to several new servers (IDS11.5). I am watching the queues grow... and grow and it appears that the data is not moving to the new servers. I haved checked row counts on the new servers and they are not changing. There is still some data that moves between to servers that are both on IDS 10 Is there something I am missing? is there a limit to the number of servers you can have in a domain? (I have 11) Has anyone seen this problem? Thanks. Laurie Gustin IT Programmer Analyst Department of Public Safety lgustin@utah.gov 801-965-4410
Laurie, One thing to consider is that IB if you are mixing Informix versions in ER you have to execute all of the CDR commands using the latest server's version of the cdr utility. Art Art S. Hi Mr Laurie. You may face some limits, regarding the kind of your 11.50.FC8 license. (Please post here your editions, please) Em 07/04/2011 08:50, Laurie Gustin escreveu: > Im trying to run ER between IDS 10.0 FC8 (HP-UX) servers and IDS 11.50 FC8 > (Linux) servers. > > I have several servers in the domain and should have data moving from one main > server (IDS10) to several new servers (IDS11.5). The limit is 32K. 1) Check the 11.50 servers. Does it have stuff in the receive queue? 2) Are all of the servers roots? Can you execute a "cdr disconnect" followed by "cdr connect"? Hmmm - it looks like there is nothing in the receive queue - I'm checking with my network people to see if there is data passing between two of the servers. Are there other configurations I should check? I can do a cdr disconnect... but then the cdr connect fails. Funny tho, the IDS10 server ( the one I disconnected ) still thinks it is connected to the 11.5 server but the 11.5 server shows a FAILED status for the 10 server...
