Hi, Some Tips :I am not sure whether this will solve your problem. 25530 :The sqlexecd daemon could not bind to the required port adress For this error you need to make sure No other daemons are running on the same port. You can check in services file, all services should be using a unique port no. 2) 25529 :The sqlexecd daemon cannot get a host structure : system error: The VB Application cannot make a connection to Informix. Check hosts file on client as well on server (/etc/hosts) contains both machines correct and unique ipaddress and machine name. CHeck TCP/IP configuration files on the client side. Some where you should have an entry for Location of hosts file pointing to hosts directory containing hosts file. Problem: Visual Basic Application using ODBC to access Informix via Informix-NET service sqlexec and Informix-STAR.
