The drives we gave are 5GB drives with compression, so they potentially can hold upto 10GB. Have not heard about 14GB drives, but I imagine it depends on the compression ratio obtained. As far as max. tape size, I have in the past used upto 7.5GB for tape size. Determining this can be a bit tricky, because your compression ratio may very, depending on the data. So when setting this up, be conservative, otherwise you may hit the end of the tape, and blow-out the backup.
