This is the reason that the database chunks need to be referenced by a
soft link. This allows the physical device to be pretty much anywhere
because the actual IO is on the link.
The engine will expect the files and/or links to exist. So, the move from
a cooked file to a raw device can be done, but the file /link name must
remain the same.
