Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Hi,
onmonitor shows the physdbs not having too many pages available -
CHUNKS FOR physdbs
Chunk Chunk Pages Pages Full Pathname of Chunk
Status
Id Offset In Chunk Used
2 1 10000 9053 /informixlinks/chunk002
PO-
DBspace has total of 10000 pages, 947 of which are free
Is this something i need to be concerned about? I am not sure if i can
ignore this or add another chunk? I can provide more information if
needed.
Here are the corresponding onconfig lines -
# Physical Log Configuration
PHYSDBS physdbs # Location (dbspace) of physical log
PHYSFILE 18000 # Physical log file size (Kbytes)
# Logical Log Configuration
LOGFILES 20 # Number of logical log files
LOGSIZE 500 # Logical log size (Kbytes)
Thanks,
Anjan

You don't have to worry. physical dbspace is static. All pages are acquired
at database initilization time. It will always be reported as pages
full. The database server keeps recycling it after every checkpoint.
