This stuff works. Email me or post your sqlhosts, ONCONFIG(TBCONFIG)
file, and the relevent section of /etc/services. I'll try to help.
BTW what version of Informix?
Some hints to try first:
1) 5.x needs an sqlexecd process running with the service name passed to
it on the command line. This is the network listener.
2) 7.x needs you to use a separate servername for each interface and to
include the alias servernames in the ONCONFIG file in the
DBSERVERALIASESline. Then the engine must be shutdown and restarted to recognize the
new services and start up listeners for them.
