RE: Using a "+" character in an SQL insert statement?
Posted in 2005
Try concatenating it together in three parts "DATABASE mydb;UPDATE mytable SET fielda='AA" . "+" . "001' WHERE fielda='ALL001'" or make a variable hold the value and then ... my $val = "AA+001"; "DATABASE mydb;UPDATE mytable SET fielda='$val' WHERE fielda='ALL001'" -----Original Message----- From: owner-informix-list@iiug.org [mailto:owner-informix-list@iiug.org]On Behalf Of emailspaz@yahoo.com Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 7:17 AM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Using a "+" character in an SQL insert statement? Part of a perl statement below - the "+" (AA+001) is messing things up. I've tried "\\+" (AA\\+001) but this no work. "DATABASE mydb;UPDATE mytable SET fielda='AA+001' WHERE fielda='ALL001'" Any help appreciated (Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UC2) sending to informix-list
